Luis Fernández-Galiano was named a RIBA International Fellow, a for-life distinction given to non-UK architects who have contributed significantly to the field. The RIBA also granted fellowships to the Spaniards Alberto Campo Baeza and Fernando Márquez & Richard Levene; the Austrian Hermann Czech; the Swiss Marcel Meili & Markus Peter; the Dutch Max Risselada; the Italian Luigi Snozzi; and the Americans Tod Williams & Billie Tsien. The electing Honours Committee, chaired by RIBA President Stephen Hodder, included David Chipperfield, Louisa Hutton, Eric Parry and Frederic Mihayrou. The awarding ceremony will take place on 25 February next year in London.
