CSCAE 2025 Architecture Prize

03/07/2025

The organism formed by Spain’s regional associations of architects gave recognition to the best buildings completed in the country, in a celebration of the discipline that this year made sure to include the role of urbanism, with the already announced Gold Medals for Fernando de Terán and Joan Busquets, as well as the work that technical professionals have done in moments of natural catastrophes like the flash floods of Valencia, this through the Lluís Comerón Prize. The long lineup of projects honored – among them the Thousand Suns Library in Madrid by Miguel Ángel Díaz, the bird refuge by Amann-Cánovas-Maruri and AMM, the footbridge by Schlaich Bergermann in collaboration with Burgos & Garrido, and the Concéntrico festival – was crowned by the Kunstsilo, the carefully executed refurbishment of port warehouses in Kristiansand for use as a museum, for which the trio of Barcelona practices formed by Mestres Wåge Arquitectes, Mendoza Partida, and BAX studio earned the Spanish Architecture Award.
