Renesa Architecture

There is no doubt that we live surrounded by what Debord acidly called the marchandise vedette, articles that compete to be displayed in the most irresistible way possible, appealing to our senses and our wallets. In architecture, this dictate of public visibility has given rise to a fertile tradition, that of showrooms and flagship stores whose designers’ creative talent becomes yet another weapon of mass seduction. An Indian company with a long background in making bricks wanted to do up its image through a space that would convey its near-artisanal devotion to the building material it produces, and so it is that the firm has transferred its catalog onto floors, walls, and ceilings, playing with bond patterns and the diversity of earthy tones provided by varying types of clay and different baking times, demonstrating to clients the full potential of its products.
