The London-based studio proposes to bring a new public transport line to the university boulevard that will serve to stitch together the different neighborhoods of Aalborg, at present deficiently connected, along the city’s north-south axis, and will link up three principal cores of activity: the existing campus, a civic center and the future university hospital, a project to be carried out by Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects. Through the planning of new housing types, local businesses, sport facilities and cultural venues, the urban fabric along the above-mentioned axis will be densified.
