Brandílera House in Nayarit
Manuel Cervantes EstudioDesigned in collaboration with the client, the designer James Perse, this house is located in the Mexican state of Nayarit, on the Pacific coast. Independent low pavilions – containing nine rooms, communal spaces, swimming pools, and a spa – are distributed on the premises, interconnected by paths in a choreography of walls, colonnades, pavements, and vegetation. In this way, the rooms merge with the topography and preexisting flora, and landscaping plays an important role. The fragmented house is planned around the idea of blending it into the natural context, through its reduced scale and the use of materials (concrete and wood) and colors.
