The Long Term

30/08/2017

The architects Belinda Tato and José Luis Vallejo of Ecosistema Urbano, who have been teaching for some years now at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design (GSD), have capped first place in the competition for the redevelopment of the waterfront of West Palm Beach, Miami. With a holistic vision and participatory strategies, the Madrid-based partners have designed a framework that seeks to address the changes that are bound to take place in the area in the next twenty years, proposing unique urban elements like theme boulevards and bioclimatic domes. Called ‘Open Shore,’ the scheme will include an aquarium.
