After years of research into the qualities and benefits of fibers and other natural materials in the field of construction, the designer Jonas Edvard has taken advantage of the sound-absorbing properties of mushroom mycellium to create the Myx Sail/Floor insulating surface. During its production, this new sustainable material remains alive in the interior of a prefabricated flexible mold, and as it grows it bonds organically with a prepared mixture of vegetal fibers.
