Born in 1965 in Beijing, where he lives and works, Hong Hao’s artistic career spans almost three decades. He graduated in 1989 from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, earning international prestige and recognition for photographic series like the one presented here, featuring everyday objects that the artist meticulously collects, photographs, groups into categories, and files, creating huge collages that propose an aesthetic research and an analysis of our relationship with consumerism. The work of Hong Hao is included in the collections of the MoMA in New York, the British Museum in London, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Asian Art Museum of Fukuoka, among other venues...
