In the context of the PHotoESPAÑA festival, the foundation of the Spanish insurance company Mapfre brings the first major retrospective exhibition of the photographer José Guerrero to Madrid. Born in Granada in 1979 and trained as a technical architect, in 2002 he left his job in a construction firm to devote himself entirely to the camera, and in the course of the past two decades he has probed landscapes, treating them as living entities rolled out in series that highlight his penchant for polyptychs, which for him, more than narrative sequences, are confluences of viewpoints.
