The six finalists for the latest Stirling Prize, awarded by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), are located in England, four of them in London. These include the restoration of Elizabeth Tower by Purcell and the London College of Fashion by Allies and Morrison. The other two are Appleby Blue by Witherford Watson Mann and Niwa House by Takero Shimazaki.
Outside London, the only two projects on the list are the extension of the Hastings House by Hugh Strange Architects and, in Cambridge, the Discovery Centre by Herzog & de Meuron in collaboration with BDP.
