Formentera Housing
The FAD Award 2018 in the Architecture category selected the project Life Reusing Posidonia in Sant Ferran (Formentera), by Carles Oliver, Antonio Martín, Joaquín Moyá, Alfonso Reina, and Maria Antònia Garcías. The jury, presided by Anna Bach, described the work as “a high-quality social housing model.” The Interior Design award was for Can Picafort in Santa Margalida (Mallorca), by TEd’A Arquitectes; the City and Landscape award, for Praça Fonte Nove, in Lisbon, by José Adrião; and the Ephemeral Interventions prize, for Pavilhão do Lago, in Porto, by Carlos Azevedo, João Crisóstomo, and Luis Sobral. The International FAD Award to works of Spanish or Portuguese authors went ex aequo to Esteve Bonell, Marc Collomb, Josep Maria Gil, and Patrick Vogel for the Parlament Vaudois, and Jaume Mayol and Irene Pérez for the School in Orsonnens. Finally, in Thought and Critique the award was bestowed ex aequo on La Recherche Patiente. Le Corbusier 50 Years Later, by Jorge Torres Cueco and Clara E. Mejía Vallejo, and Thermodynamic Interactions, by Javier García-Germán.
