The roof, inspired by the 19th century original design, is made of extruded longitudinal vaults in the direction of the rail tracks. The new addition seeks to blend with the historic building, working the connections of the station with the city.

A square and amphitheater connected to the river are located underneath a circular opening on the roof. This space leads directly to the proposed library, workshops, education facilities, event spaces, a small theater and a lecture hall.
