From a place of insolent humility we take on the challenge of writing about our work in this monographic document of the first twenty years of Ensamble Studio. This text should obviously not be critical, so we have chosen a format halfway between autobiographical narrative and reflection that explains the connections of our personal and professional journey through architecture. This journey starts at a quarry and reaches another. A happy coincidence for which we have no explanation. It is not a pre-planned journey, but one moved by a mix of intuition, determination, and spirit of adventure. Perhaps some fortune too.
