Two decades since their first collaboration, Louis Vuitton and artist Takashi Murakami have worked together again to design a pop-up store inspired by the modular capsule hotels of Tokyo, and which was on view in New York’s SoHo. The space was made up of several rooms lined with vibrant color palettes in the style of the Japanese artist, threaded by a polished central corridor. Aside from a shop selling the reedited collection, a cafeteria or exhibitions with unique items of the French fashion firm, during the past month of January the most exclusive activities have been organized, such as a repair service of items from the original collection of 2003, or the screening of remasterized versions of several films of Murakami featuring some of his most emblematic characters, such as Panda, Flower Hat Man, and Onion Head.
