In 1929, Le Corbusier imagined an architectural manifesto that would become one of the masterpieces of the Modern Movement. Today, almost a century later, and in a clear declaration of intentions from the Madrid-based luxury brand, the Villa Savoye has served as the stage for Loewe’s latest perfume collection, for which photographer David Sims has captured everyday moments, almost intimate, starring actors Jamie Dornan and Sophie Wilde. The presentation of the advertising campaign, held in Paris, completed this antagonic union between the iconic angular furniture pieces designed for the iconic villa – adorned for the occasion with branches, flowers, and vegetables – and the soft shapes of Loewe’s new accessories line: chandeliers and scented candles that bring a warm touch to the rationalist designs of the Swiss architect, and which, for their olfactory dimension, add a new layer of intimacy to the experience.
