On view through 15 August at Museu de la Garrotxa in Olot (Girona) are 48 black-and-white photographs taken by Hisao Suzuki (Yamagata, Japan, 1957), considered one of the best photographers of contemporary architecture of the past 30 years. The exhibition is a tour of major works of architecture and portraits of their authors through shots of Suzuki, which with his special compositions of light – using optical and visual strategies – become particularly rich and complex. The images on display are part of the ‘Colección RCR Bunka, Hisao Suzuku’ photography archive, which the Japanese photographer donated in 2021 to Fundación RCR Bunka and counts over 46,000 pictures.
