A tribute to the cartoon strip comes to Madrid’s Círculo de Bellas Artes, with help from the Musée Hergé in Brussels. A fun walk through original sketches and panels, first editions, posters, and even paintings by the author of Les Aventures de Tintin, the Georges Remi who signed his work as Hergé. An intelligent, controlled selection of delicate material that seems tailor-made for people who as children discovered and delighted in the famous reporter’s experiences, spectacularly featuring models, amplifications on walls, and trick effects to please all audiences. Nostalgia and amusement aside, however, the show presents much more: the adventures of Hergé himself, the difficult trajectory of an exceptional storyteller and draftsman in the publishing and political spheres of the postwar, where the European narrative was in the making.
