The winners of the seventh European AHI Awards – a biennial competition organized by the Barcelona platform AHI (Architectural Heritage Intervention) in collaboration with the Catalonia Institute of Architects – have been announced.
The works that topped the four categories are: for Built Heritage, the intervention on Het Steen castle in Antwerp (Belgium), by noAarchitecten; for Exterior Spaces, the revamp of El Firal promenade in Olot (Girona), by Jaume Bach, Anna Bach, Eugeni Bach, Xevi Bayona, and Alba Colomer; for Urban Planning, the project Bridging Time and Space: Master Plan for the Regeneration of Ancient Corinth (Greece), by the Greek Ministry of Culture – Ephoreia of Antiquities of Corinthia, the American School of Classical Studies in Athens (ASCSA), and the firm Thymio Papayannis and Associates (TPA); and for Disclosure, the book Ruinas, cicatrices, huellas, by estudio sic.
