The ubiquitous Swiss gallery Hauser & Wirth sets 17 July as the day to open a new outpost in a former naval hospital on Isla del Rey in the Menorcan city of Mahon, its second landing in Spain after reopening Chillida Leku. The Paris-based Argentinian architect Luis Laplace and the Dutch garden designer Piet Oudolf redid a farm in Somerset for another branch, and now bring life back to an 18th-century complex through 1,500 square meters of exhibition space, a restaurant, and a garden of native plant species.
