Fuksas in Jerusalem

Square and Tower

30/06/2019

The firm of Massimiliano Fuksas and Doriana Mandrelli Fuksas has been selected to construct the new International Congress Center in Jerusalem, which is envisioned to be the largest building of its kind in the entire Middle East. Characterized by urban sensitivity and its use of local materials including the stone for the facades, the complex comprises a congress center marked by a portico, a 10-floor 800-room hotel, and residences, not to mention commercial areas and underground parking facilities. The whole scheme will be articulated around a large public square to be called ‘ICC Plaza,’ and will be wrapped up by two 36-floor business towers a hundred meters tall, clad in a double skin.
