Fifteen minutes from Santa Fe (Mexico City), this pavilion is nestled within the Reserva Santa Fe real-estate development. Right by a lake immersed in the Otomí-Mexica forest, it seeks to be part of the natural surroundings, offering a shelter and gathering place. With large low cantilevered eaves, the project is based on the golden ratio, which impregnates every aspect and detail. Other than solar panels and vegetation on the roof, wetland-filtration and rainwater-collecting systems are incorporated. The selection of locally sourced materials like wood are in keeping with the highest standards of sustainability.
