Against the usual order – whether chronological or thematic – expected of art exhibitions, Guillermo Pérez Villalta – painter, writer, engraver, designer, architect – has put together an exhibition on view at Sala Alcalá 31, in the very heart of Madrid. In this show, there is no clear route for the visitor to follow. Starting from the geometrical study of the ecclesiastical operations hall that the renowned Galician architect Antonio Palacios designed for Banco Mercantil e Industrial, the artist born in Tarifa, Cádiz, in 1948 proposes a labyrinthine journey that constitutes an invitation to search for or even invent our own narratives in his multidisciplinary work.
