The exhibition ‘Art and Nature in Prehistory’ treats the public – for the first time – to the rock art tracings owned by the National Museum of Natural History (MNCN) in Madrid. Inaugurated in November, it will remain on view until 19 May. Set up in an atmosphere that tries to resemble that of the caves where the original images – early sketches carried out by human beings – are found, the show covers practically the entire geography of Spain in its presentation of what is the largest collection of Paleolithic paintings and eastern Spanish art in the world.
