Until 31 March 2024, the MEIAC of Badajoz displays the pictorial work of Godofredo Ortega Muñoz (1899-1982), carried out decades ago, placed alongside the contemporary photographs of José Manuel Ballester. The initiative came from the foundation of the Extremadura painter, which invited the photographer to embark on a journey through paths and territories similar to those depicted by Ortega Muñoz. The effective exhibition design in the form of a visual dialogue evidences the stylistic differences between each artist, but the two oeuvres bear a surprising compositive similarity, showing that, despite the temporal difference separating them, both are modern artists, each in his own way and time.
