Intermediate Garden

BIG and CRA in Singapore

30/04/2018

Together the firms Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and Carlo Ratti Associati have started construction work, in the business district of Singapore, on a tower which is to rise all of 280 meters, interrupted every 100 meters by a four-level garden. Totaling 51 stories and covering an area of 93,000 square meters, the building is a mixed-use complex, containing apartments and offices, and it presents a glass-and-steel facade fragmented by tropical vegetation at the base, at the middle, and at the top. The skyscraper is supposed to become Singapore’s second tallest, after the Tanjong Pagar Centre by the American company Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM).
