The 20th anniversary of the Carré d’Art-Musée-Nîmes Museum of Contemporary Art, a Norman Foster work, surrounds the opening in this French museum of ‘Moving. Norman Foster on Art’. This first art exhibition to be curated by the architect is on view until 15th September. Alberto Giacometti, Alexander Calder, Cristina Iglesias, Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, Olafur Eliasson and Tomás Saraceno – the latter two with pieces specially commissioned for the purpose – are some of those included in a show that reflects, says museum director Jean- Marc Prévost, “a clear approach to the most acclaimed figures of modern art and emerging artists, as well as those from the design sphere.”
