Curated by Angela García de Paredes and Ignacio García Pedrosa and titled ‘Desplazamientos’ (displacements), the tenth Ibero-American Architecture and Urbanism Biennial (BIAU) was held on 10/11 October in São Paulo. Oscar Niemeyer’s Ibirapuera Auditorium was the venue of the usual award-giving ceremony, and among those present were Eduardo Souto de Moura, new winner of the Ibero-American Award for Architecture and Urbanism, and Gerado García-Ventosa, director of the Arquia Foundation, who accepted the distinction bestowed on the Arquia/maestros DVD collection coordinated by Luis Fernández-Galiano. Moreover, among the works awarded, seven were Spanish: the Scaffold House in Begur (Girona), by Bosch Capdeferro; the refurbishment of the Convent of Santa María de los Reyes, by Morales de Giles Arquitectos; the Granada School of Architecture, by Víctor López Cotelo; the restoration of the Caminito del Rey, by Luis Machuca Santa-Cruz; House 1014 in Granollers (Barcelona), by H Arquitectes; the electrical assembly factory in Don Benito (Badajoz), by José María Sánchez García; and the Royal Collections Museum in Madrid, bu Mansillo + Tuñón. After the ceremony, Eduardo Souto de Moura and Paulo Mendes da Rocha engaged in debate in a colloquium moderated by João Luis Carrilho da Graça. Lista de propuestas premiadas
