Work has just been completed on one of the buildings that José María García de Paredes (1924-1990) left on the drawing board: the auditorium in Cuenca.

After the Manuel de Falla Auditorium in Granada (1978) and the Villanueva Hall at the Prado Museum (1984), which had established him as Spain's leading specialist in music architecture, the veteran architect designed four buildings included in the National Auditorium Plan: those in Valencia and Madrid, inaugurated in 1987 and 1988 respectively, and those in Cuenca and Murcia.
