As a new architect in the late 1980s Gianzarlo Mazzanti showed a rebellious streak. He wasn’t interested in joining the ‘regionalist’ agenda that dominated the architectural scene in Colombia at the time, or in developing a design practice aimed at gradually perfecting a solution.
