Designed by Guilherme Machado Vaz (1974, Porto), the compact white volume takes inspiration from the architectural tradition of Portugal's Minho region. The house's width (8.6 meters) is determined by the topography of the place.

Consisting of a group of programmatic islands arranged around an old alcohol and tobacco factory, the building adopts the materials typically used in the area.
The new volumes of the building rest on preexisting granite constructions, maintain their original volumetric composition, and present a ventilated facade of copper sheets placed in cross seams.
A concrete slab stretching 84 meters, built with prestressing techniques, engages in dialogue with a stone plinth and shelters two fully glazed pavilions.
