The work of the photographer and architect Yiorgis Yerolymbos (Paris, 1973) reflects a particular interest in landscape and how it is transformed by humans. He has spent ten years documenting the construction of the Cultural Center of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, an arts, education, and entertainment complex built by Renzo Piano in Athens. The images captured by the photographer from the top of the cranes are collected in the book Orthographs, taking by title the name that Leon Battista Alberti gave architectural representations in plan drawn to guide the construction of the buildings, differentiating them from paintings with purely aesthetic purposes...
