Seven years after winning the competition that was held for the purpose, the Chilean trio of architects composed of Smiljan Radic, Eduardo Castillo, and Gabriela Medrano has been able to inaugurate the Biobío Regional Theater in the city of Concepción, a rigorous six-floor volume with a translucent, lantern-like PTFE skin in the interior of which the program is laid out with a high degree of freedom, occupying the gaps of a labyrinthine spatial grid.
