In line with the 21st International Architecture Week (2024), the Madrid Institute of Architects (COAM) presents ‘Renzo Piano Building Workshop: Le Fil Rouge’ until 12 January 2025.
The concept of this traveling show is light and modular, designed to minimize weight, energy consumption, and waste as it goes from one venue to another. The simple and reusable installation of panels invites visitors to traverse it like turning the pages of a book. From chapter to chapter of the trajectory of Renzo Piano Building Workshop, they can explore the design and execution processes that produced 23 selected works of the last fifty years.
At the center is a sculptural imaginary ‘Island’ presenting 109 of the projects carried out by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. Rarely shown in public, this piece was created for a major exhibition on Renzo Piano that was held at the Royal Academy of Arts in London in 2019.
