In 2020 Luciana Levinton and Mara Sánchez Llorens created a platform to draw attention to female artists, designers, and architects. Named @musasdevanguardia, the digital project brings together a series of downloadable documents (audios, videos, texts…) on the life and work of the subjects, including round-table discussions where experts take us deeper into their biographies.

Musas de Vanguardia (Avant-Garde Muses) has had two editions. The first one, ‘Mujeres migrantes,’ presented Lina Bo Bardi, Grete Schütte-Lihoyzky, Charlotte Perriand, Maruja Mallo, Lidy Prati, and Norah Borges.

The exchanges generated during the first edition led to the second series, ‘Mujeres ecologistas,’ which looked at women’s commitment to protecting the environment. It kicked off with Marta Traba and Aino Marsio-Aalto (who engaged in a conversation on 19 May), and also features Tarsila do Amarala (round table programmed for 16 June), Anupama Kundoo, Leonora Carrington, and Izaskun Chinchilla.
