For over more than thirty years, the American artist Lynne Cohen has photographed inanimate spaces: laboratories, factories, offices, and waiting rooms where human presence is recognized only through objects and decoration – often kitsch, even comic –, and in which it is not a simple task to identify the boundary between what is real and what is staged.
