Grafton Architects. Pritzker Prize 2020
30/04/2020
The social coherence and commitment demonstrated by Grafton Architects, established in 1978, in Dublin, by Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara, has garnered this year’s Pritzker Prize, the first ever to be conferred on a partnership of women. Arquitectura Viva celebrates by publishing the interview they jointly gave in the course of the ‘Necessary Architecture’ congress that was held in Pamplona, fielding questions from the poet and journalist Antonio Lucas, then by presenting a couple of the Irish firm’s most recent buildings: Kingston University Town House in Surrey, close to London, and the Toulouse School of Economics in France.
