Born in Athens, where he died on September 17, Konstantinidis studied architecture in Munich. His humanistic training linked him to his native country's building traditions. He designed residential projects, with his houses in Crete standing out, besides hotels in Mikonos, Sparta and Olympus. In 1990 he got the Herder prize for his efforts in the integration of buildings in the landscape.
