Since 2001 the firm Andreu World has held an annual competition in which students and yougn designers can present ideas for chairs and tables. The jury of the latest edition – among whose members were Luis Fernández-Galiano, Giulio Ridolfo, Ej Lee, Ana Domínguez Siemens, and Alberto Anaut – gave two awards and three special mentions , selecting out of 350 entries from 30 countries. First prize went to the Lazar chair designed by Juan Pablo Acuña (Córdoba, Argentina), second to a multitasking table by Juan Bueno, and the mentions to the graziella b yDarío Costa (London), FLEX by Chialing Chang (Tokyo), and the Onda table by Roz de Waal (Gold Coast, Australia).
