A network of mobile catwalks and hanging systems contributes to making the space adaptable to each event, helped here by a range of lighting, audiovisual, and signage solutions.
Aiming to capture the silhouette of the horizon, dominated by volcanic cones, the auditorium is an open-plan and flexible space that takes up the whole ground floor and links up with the context; the rest of the program is housed in the roof’s depth.
A clear intermediate space separates the building’s facade and the hermetic skin of the auditorium. Aside from functioning as acoustic cushion, it turns the cafeteria (with lounge and business area) into a free-flowing social space.
The proposal makes the most of the faraway views, the mild climate and the existing topography: the result is a roof that generates a striking exterior image and turns the interior into a light and luminous space thanks to the diffusion of light. A n
