Founded in 1989, the Italian firm Scrigno specializes in designing, manufacturing, and distributing opening/closing systems and counter frames for embedded sliding doors and windows, flush-with-wall solutions, armored doors, and technical joints. Its new Chronoseal for doors and joints (under the doors) is designed to maximize energy performance, air quality, and acoustic, thermal, and light comfort in enclosed and small spaces. Fabricated by CCE, a Grupo Scrigno division that makes joints and accessories for doors and windows, Chronoseal is part of Scrigno systems, improving their properties. Among the products incorporating this system is the Svevo armored door.

With its versatile design that can be adapted to all environments, Svevo comes in three models and with several finishes, besides anti-theft protection. It works with Chronoseal, where the devise allows for the joint’s drop to the floor seconds after the door closes, thus preventing friction, minimizing wear, and ensuring air quality indoors. Easy to install, this door adapts to delicate surfaces like fitted carpets and parquets.

The Chronoseal family features: Chronosoft, remarkable in its light movement; Chronoclick, with a delayed drop of the seal between door and floor; Chronoair, side terminals guaranteeing continuity between frame and door, forming a system for sealing off air, water, and wind; and Chronofloor, thin and resistant, 4 mm high, which abides by the codes on evacuation channels and architectural barriers, making itself a useful accessory for entrances as well as for applications addressing uneven ground.
