Located in Santa Eulalia del Río (Ibiza), this four-star boutique hotel has been thought out as a place of calm that upholds conscientious tourism and taking good care of the environment. Grounded on the Barefoot Luxury concept, it features ample garden zones, terraces with a pool, areas with sand to enjoy shoeless, and interiors bathed in natural light.
The firms Mixis Arquitectos and FUTUR2 drew inspiration from Ibizan tradition, using natural and local materials. The center of attention are the interior gardens, carefully rendered with artisanally made pieces.
Exactly 99 rooms are designed in the Japanese Wabi Sabi aesthetic, on the idea that true beauty lies in imperfection and authenticity. Architetural elements and furniture thus pursue simplicity, the natural, and the organic, resulting in austere lines seeking to fuse and connect with nature.
With its excellent thermal and acoustic properties, the Soleal sliding system of the firm Technal, was used in the rooms and communal areas alike. Applicable in multiple combinations, Soleal makes it possible to blur the limits between interior and exterior spaces. It also gives a sense of breadth, optimizing the privileged views of the surroundings. The building shows large glass surfaces divided into three panels – two mobile, one fixed. In addition, the frames being placed flush with the floor makes for a high degree of visual fluidity, and minimizes the need for joineries in the transition to the terrace zone.
