Silestone of Cosentino, the hybrid mineral surface for architecture and design, presents Sunlit Days, a new carbon-neutral series among surfaces made of quartz and other engineered stone variants. With this, the brand seals its commitment to sustainability.
Drawing inspiration from the Mediterranean Sea, Sunlit Days comes in five colors: Faro White, Cincel Grey, Arcilla Red, Cala Blue, and Posidonia Green. Faro White, evokes coastal lighthouses with a texture smooth to the touch; Cincel Grey, has a fine silky grain; Arcilla Red, is an earthy reflection of vigor and passion; Cala Blue, is a deep tone, smooth to the touch; Posidonia Green evokes the vitality and beauty of the submarine meadows formed by Neptune Grass, an undersea turf with long narrow blades.
This series has been created with the HybriQ+ technology of Silestone, a production process marked by a strong commitment to environment protection, circular economies, and sustainable management. As much as 99% of the water that goes into manufacturing Silestone is reused, 100% of the electrical energy consumed comes from renewable sources, and a minimum of 20% recycled glass goes into the composition. The technology relies on a new formulation in the make-up of Silestone, with the presence of crystalline silica much reduced in favor of a hybrid of mineral raw materials and recycled elements. With this new composition, Silestone maintains the mechanical and technical properties it is known for, not to mention its aesthetics.
