The Portuguese master Álvaro Siza (Matosinhos, 1933) has designed a watch for the firm Lebond Watches, which regularly collaborates with renowned architects. With special attention on details, the Lebond Siza watch draws inspiration from the square shape of the municipal swimming pool that Siza himself built by the sea in Leça da Palmeira in 1966. The watch is manufactured with titanium, a material chosen by Siza because it weighs little, and it is given a matte finish. The back of the case shows the movement of the mechanism, and Siza’s signature ‘floats’ on the sapphire crystal.
