The American artist Kai Caemmerer invites, through his work, to reflect on the urban space, the continuous growth of cities, and the relationship of photography with both: how photography can decipher landscapes, transform ordinary scenes into something complex or provocative, or reveal invisible stories. Born in 1988, the photographer currently lives and works in Los Angeles, after studying in Washington and Chicago. It was a trip to China that inspired his ‘Unborn Cities’ series, where he captures new but still empty constructions.
