Rural Tourism Accommodation Vietnam competition winners

The winners of the competition organized by Arquideas for architecture students and young architects, and for the purpose of creating tourist accommodations in Mù Cang Chải, a rural distrct in the Vietnamese province of Yen Bau, have been announced. A total of 105 entries came from 32 countries, and the jury decided to give the first prize to Francisco Javier Polaina Luna and Carlos Castaño Gil of the University of Málaga; the second to Mario Vera and María Angosto of the University of Zaragoza; and the third to Álvaro Núñez Mora, Carlos Martín Beltrán, Guillem García Manzana, and Miguel López of the Technical University of Valencia. In addition, there are five honorable mentions: Lucas Sanio Juárez of the University of Buenos Aires; Cristina Vivar Romero, Beatriz González Yagüe, Beatriz Fernández Concepcion, and Carmen Espinosa Bruque of the Universities of Seville and Valladolid; Gonzalo López and María Diez Revilla of the Technical Unicersity of Madrid; Mohamed Hesham of the American University in Cairo; and Do Le Tuyen of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture.
