Alison Brooks Architects, Ely Court housing estate in London

Included in the masterplan for the regeneration of the South Kilburn Estate of the London Borough of Brent, in the west part of the English capital, Ely Court is the first of three residential projects in development by the local firm headed by the Canadian Alison Brooks. The intervention, covering 6,509 square meters, is organized around a garden. Four blocks built with brick and differing in scale contain 44 bright and spacious units, half of which are public housing. A rhythmic composition of terraces and balconies helps to restore the urban fabric of a depressed area.
