With simple lines, like a child’s drawing of a house, the Madrid studio Ábaton’s design for the prefabricated dwelling ÁPH80-A is a 27-square-meter shed that can be transported by road. With a pitched roof rising 3.5 meters maximum, the robust volume is clad with a gray board made of chips of wood and cement. Panels hide the windows and large glass doors that dilute the limits between the exterior and the interior clad predominantly with white fir timber. The dwelling for two has a bedroom, a bathroom and a living room and kitchen space. It takes 6-8 weeks to manufacture and a day to set up.
