On the edge of Almería’s Costacabana neighborhood, on a 380-square-meter L-shaped corner plot, stands this building containing two similarly-sized dwellings. A work of the Andalusian firm med.arquitectos (José Moreno Ferre and Javier Peña), the bunker-like construction presents false facades up to 6 meters tall that have the effect of unifying the ensemble with a smooth white finish, in the manner of traditional Mediterranean houses in the area. In the arrangement around courtyards, communal uses are placed along the perimeter. It is an intimate, inward-looking project that from the roof deck gives views of Cabo de Gata.
