The Paris practice of Jacques Ferrier and Pauline Marchetti built this complex of office buildings in Shanghai. Interconnected by spaces covered with vegetation, the sober blocks were designed according to their positions on the site. In spite of their varying heights and shapes, a unitary image is achieved through white facades whose verticality is emphasized by long narrow windows, their rhythm interrupted with loggias identified by the use of colored ceramic tubes evoking bamboo.
