Open House Madrid 2019

The architecture-and-city festival Open House Madrid is set for 28 and 29 September, and this time pays tribute to Miguel Fisac through exhibitions and visits to some of his major built works. More than 120 guided tours will be offered this year, free of charge and including private homes, construction sites, and buildings ordinarily closed to the public, for which interested parties may have to sign up in advance, Themed ‘Designing the New City,’ the 5th Open House Congress will take place on 27 September in the Caja de Música (Music Box), the auditorium of CentroCentro Cibeles, within the Madrid City Hall building. Open House Madrid will from now on come with City Awards, so at some point during the congress the first of these will be given, in five sections: Urban Design, Civic Commitment, Innovative Solution, Use of Social Networks, and Mobility Proposals.

The calendar of festival activities extends until late October.

For visits requiring pre-registration, please sign up in starting 10:00 a.m. on 17 September.
